Dealership is back with an album of instantly infectious indie pop with a dash of pop punk snarl. The new release, Action/Adventure, on Turn Records is the third, as well as the best yet, from the Berkeley, CA trio who have quickly ascended into Baay Area (as soon to be global) indie pop royality.
High energy shows, intelligent songwriting and a close connection with fans is their secret. It's what took their last album, TV Highway To The Stars, into CMJ's top 200. It's what placed Action/Adventure on the CMK charts for over 8 weeks and has them playing numerous years at the Noise Pop Festival, CMJ Music Festival and North By Northwest. The band has shared bills with the likes of Beulah, Rainer Maria, Bis, Polysics, Track Star, The Lovemakers, Xiu Xiu, J. Mascis, Guided By Voices, and Rilo Kiley.
Action/Adventure remains true to the bands past pop roots while adding vintage Casio synths to their guitar-bass-drums formula, creating songs that are friendly and smart and insanly lovable.
Dealership is currently working on their 4th full length album to be released in 2006.
